BREATHWORK

THE IMMEDIACY OF CONNECTION &

transformative power of the breath

BREATHWORK IS ONE OF THOSE MODALITIES THAT YIELDS UNMISTAKABLE AND IMMEDIATE RESULTS.

Distinct in its visceral connection to the body, the flow of breathwork allows the body to release stored stress, trauma and experience immediate change. Results can be as far-ranging as deep rest to ecstatic psychedelic-like experience. It's an exciting, and yes, kinda intense at times, journey. But you always have ultimate control of when you need to pause or if things feel too intense.

“I seriously feel 30 pounds lighter in emotional weight. You helped me process more in that one session than in a year of talk therapy! Not even kidding...I'm a different human!“

“It was definitely a new experience for me, but overall I felt so relaxed. My body wanted to relax and I didn't know I needed sleep so badly.“

FAQ

What is a breathwork session like?

A breathwork session brings us together online via video conference, where I hold space for you to breathe into whatever is ready to present itself. Each session can look vastly different, as every person has their own intentiosn and experiences it differently.

This is my first breathwork session, what should I know?

Know that if you are drawn to experiencing breathwork, it isn't by mistake. There are some contraindications to breathwork, which are reviewed in the waiver. Please be sure to review these carefully before signing up. Other than that, it's best to find a quiet place where you will be undisturbed during our time together, ideally in a space where you can lie down comfortably.

Are there any contraindications for breathwork?

Yes, there are some contraindications, including medical and psychological.

Medical Contraindications:
• Aneurysms
• Asthma (please have your inhaler available during your breathwork session)
• Cardiovascular disease and/or irregularities including prior heart attack
• Detached Retina
• Epilepsy
• Glaucoma
• High Blood Pressure that is not controlled with medication
• History of strokes or seizures
• Osteoporosis
• Pregnancy
• Prescription blood thinning/anti-clotting medications such as Coumadin

Psychiatric Contraindications:
• Bipolar disorder or schizophrenia (Prior diagnosis by a health professional)
• Hospitalization for any psychiatric condition or emotional crisis in past 10 years such as an attempted suicide or nervous breakdown.
• PTSD (possible contraindication)
• Any other medical, psychiatric or physical conditions which would impair or affect ability to engage in activities involving intense physical and/or emotional release.

Please contact me if you are at all unsure whether one or more of the above apply to you.

How do I book a session with you?

You can book a session by contacting me through the contact page or by emailing me at gentlywander@gmail.com

How should i prepare for a session?

Make sure you are in a space where you can lie down comfortably, and be undisturbed by humans or furry friends during our time together. Wearing comfortable clothes is recommended as well as being able to position the camera so I can see your head and torso.

You might also want to block off some time afterwards to give you extra space in case you need it.
Please also be sure to review the contraindications to make sure breathwork is right for you.

How long have you been doing this?

I discovered breathwork as a practice in 2018. I went to a full moon circle and it was wildly, immediately something I knew had to know more about. I couldn't find any breathwork practitioners where I lived in Boston at the time, so the next best thing was to register for a 2-day training to become a breathwork facilitator in NYC taught by Erin Telford.

Are the sessions recorded?

Please notify me in advance if you would like the session to be recorded.
